LEARNING
Teaching Colors and Numbers
Make signs with the names of different colors. Children take a piece of the tape and put it on the correct sign, learning colors. Learn the alphabet - Make the letters with the tape - Spell names out, write on desk or walls or construction paper. Learn measurement units; inches, feet, yards, etc. Children
measure objects around the classroom. Have a conversion chart on the wall so the
kids can estimate how big things are. (For example, their feet, their desk,
their arms or legs, school supplies, etc.)
Learn Right and Left
Make the letter "L" or letter "R" and put on children's
appropriate foot. Or place on the floor at their desk.
Highlight things in books:
Learning adjectives or certain subjects, children can place tape
under the word in the story-highlighting the important learning aspects of the
unit.
Maps:
Children can find and locate their homes on neighborhood maps or
their bus routes to school. Highlighting the route with tape or their home, or
city or state, etc.
ART PROJECTS
Use the tape in creative ways.
"Drawing" with the tape on cardboard.Decorate School Supplies - label school supplies for each
child. Useful for taping artwork to the walls. Easy removal, and no damage to
the surface! - Make collages, or do tape weaving projects with the tape.
 
GAMES
Hopscotch and Tic-Tac-Toe can be done on the classroom floor. Create the grids with the tape-easy clean up!
Guessing Games/Name Games:
Write animals, objects, cities, states, etc on the tape and put on child's back. Child guesses with clues from the other students.
